Mali is a country of western Africa having common borders with the Mauritania and Algeria in the North, Niger in the East, the Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast in the South, Guinea in the southwest and Senegal on the West.
The economic activity is especially limited around the river region irrigated by the river Niger. Approximately 10 % of the population is a nomad and approximately 80 % work in the agriculture or the peach(fishing). The industrial activity is centred around agricultural activities.
Third largest producer of gold on the continent, behind Ghana and South Africa, Mali has on this resource to increase its development.
